Dr. Alessandro Bogliolo
Dr. Alessandro Bogliolo received the Laurea degree in Electrical Engineering (1992) and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (1998) from the University of Bologna, Italy. From 1992 to 1999 he was with the Department of Electronics and Computer Science (DEIS), University of Bologna. In 1995 and 1996 he was with the Computer Systems Laboratory (CSL), Stanford University, CA. From 1999 to 2002 he was Assistant Professor with the Department of Engineering (DI), University of Ferrara, Italy. In 2002 he joined the University of Urbino, Italy, as Associate Professor. From 2002 to 2010 he was Director of the Information Science and Technology Institute of the University of Urbino. Since 2010 he's the coordinator of the Information Science and Technology Division of the Department of Base Sciences and Fundamentals. In 2010 he founded NeuNet, a cultural association for interdisciplinary research in the fields of network models and multimedia distribution over IP. Since 2006 he has been working in the development of new access network models providing a suitable support to a service-oriented Internet value chain, with particular emphasis on multimedia content distribution models.
