Prof. Dr.Fritz Laux
Dr. Fritz Laux studied Mathematics at the University of Tübingen and received a PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in Summability Theory. He has been working as database expert in industry for more than 8 years where he held positions as system analyst, software architect, and chief designer for information processing systems before he joined the department of Business Informatics at Reutlingen University.
Since 1986, Dr. Laux is a full Professor for Databases and Object Technology. His actual research interests include database modeling, data pattern, business analytics, self organizing and adaptive systems. He supervised various student research projects and theses that received regional and national recognition. He is a founding member of DBTech.net promoting database education at universities and for vocational training. Prof. Laux co-organized DBTech-Workshops and is coauthor of many publications in the field of databases and communication networks.
He served as reviewer, program committee member, and program chair for several conferences and is a member of the German Computer Society (Gesellschaft für Informatik).
