Dr. Geroge Yee

Dr. George Yee is the president and owner of Aptusinnova Inc., which provides consulting services in information security and software engineering. He is also an Adjunct Research Professor at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. George was formerly an IT Research Analyst with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Prior to this, he was a Senior Research Officer in the Information Security Group, National Research Council Canada for almost 8 years. Before this, he had over 18 years experience as a Member of Scientific Staff and manager at Bell-Northern Research and Nortel Networks, where he played a key role in researching and developing more effective software test technology.

George received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University in 1991. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and member of ACM and Professional Engineers Ontario. He is also a Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and an IARIA Fellow http://www.iaria.org/fellows.html. His research interests include security and privacy for electronic transactions and software engineering for security, reliability, and performance. George has published over 75 scientific papers in information security, information privacy, and software engineering.
