Dr. Javier Carpe-Maravilla
Dr. Javier Carpe-Maravilla received his B.Sc. (First class Honours) in 1989 and his Ph.D. degree in 1993 in Physics from the Universitat de Valencia (Spain). Since 1991 he has been with the Department of Electronics Engineering at the University of Valencia, where he belongs to the GPDS (Digital Signal Processing Group). He is Associate Professor. He holds an industrial patent, has co-authored more than 72 papers in scientific magazines, 160 communications to conferences and 3 book chapters. Has lead 30 projects with private companies and 22 with public funding, including co-leading one funded by the European Union (Smart Multispectral System for Commercial Applications, Information Society Technologies, IST-2001-37306, integrating 6 centers from 3 countries). He has supervised 6 PhD Thesis and 3 more in their final stage.
Since September 2005 he is the Manager of the Design Center that Analog Devices has established in Valencia. This Center is devoted to the design of integrated circuits for 4 product lines.
