Prof. Dr. Kendall E. Nygard

Dr. Kendall E. Nygard is a Professor and the Graduate Program Coordinator in the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research at North Dakota State University.  From 1996 to 2005 he served as department chair.  He earned his Ph.D. degree in 1978 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  He is serving as Advisory Editor of the Journal of Heuristics. He has been principal investigator for more than 40 federal, state, and private grants and contracts. He is widely published in research concerning sensor networks, network security, cooperative control of unmanned air vehicles, smart grid analytics, and educational technology.
