Dr. Mauro Dell’Orco

Mauro Dell’Orco currently teaches “Management & Operations of Transportation Systems” at the Polytechnic University of Bari. The course deepens first the knowledge of various Operations techniques for Road, Rail, Maritime and Air Transport; then, it deals with the optimization of Management of these Transportation Systems.

He gave invited lectures at the University of Poznan (Poland), at the Istanbul Technical University and at the Belgrade University. Recently, he has been invited speaker at the plenary session of the LOGIC Congress in Belgrade.

He has been Scientific Responsible for:

  1. the National Program of Actions 2000-2006, for the Action “Safety Management in the Railways Traffic: Innovative Methodologies and Technologies for Monitoring and Diagnosis of Rail Tracks and Rolling Stocks”;
  2. the Regional Program of Actions 2006 – 2007 “Trainstop”
  3. the Strategic Project “Research and Development of a Management System for Maintenance of Railways Assets".
