Prof. Dr. Peter Berkelman

Peter Berkelman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hawaii.  He was a researcher with the TIMC-IMAG Laboratory of the School of Medicine in Grenoble, France in 2001-2004 and was a postdoctoral research fellow at Johns Hopkins University from 1999-2001.  He received a PhD in Robotics from the Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute in 1999.  His current research is in the areas of medical robotics, haptic interfaces, and magnetic levitation.
