Dr. Balwant Godara
Dr. Balwant Godara is currently a consultant for World Health Organization’s (WHO) country office for India, working on the use of ICT in healthcare in India. Over 2013, he provided consultations for the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND), Geneva, Switzerland, on the integration of mobile technologies in the diagnostics of infectious diseases. From 2007 to 2012, he served as Assistant professor at the Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris, France, working amongst others on the design of circuits and communication systems for biomedical applications. He has over 60 publications in international journals and conferences. Balwant holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering (from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India), and a PhD in Microelectronics (from the University of Bordeaux, France). He was general chair of the 100-strong MobiHealth 2012 conference and local organisation chair for the IEEE ISCAS 2010, which attracted close to 1500 participants.
