Mariano Pascual

Mariano Pascual is a bachelor degree systems analyst with specialization in Databases (lato-sensu) in GIS and Environmental Analysis (lato-sensu) and has a master degree (stricto-sensu) in GIS and Environmental Analysis acquired from the University of Brasilia - UNB. He is currently Technical Director of Hex Group, a Brazilian GeoIT Company, which develops solutions in the fields of Geotechnology, Information Technology and the Environment. He was an Analyst at the Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources – IBAMA, between 2003 and 2012. He has over 13 years of experience in the areas of Applied Geosciences with an emphasis in Remote Sensing, GIS, and Computer Science. He has international experience, having developed projects for JAXA (Japanese Space Agency), to Nippon Koei Co., representing Brazil in for a, e.g., GIS - Geographic Information Systems in Mercosul and the helped the development of several companies in Silicon Valley, CA - USA.
