Michael Spranger
Before deciding to pursue a scientific career, Michael worked as an investigator for the police in Saxony. After studying computer science and information systems, he worked as a software developer in the field of systems integration. In 2012, he became a research associate in the digital forensics project at the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida and co-authored one research book and many publications in this field. In 2015, he took a job as a lecturer for Forensics and Data Science in the Bachelor degree course “General and Digital Forensics”, where he also gives courses in the continuing education program for prosecutors and investigators. He is particularly interested in knowledge-based systems supporting forensic sciences and resilience engineering.
