Nikolaos Alexopoulos
Nikolaos Alexopoulos is a doctoral researcher at the Telecooperation lab of the Technische Universität Darmstadt since May 2016, working as a part of CROSSING collaborative research center under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Max Mühlhäuser. Prior to joining Technische Universität Darmstadt, he obtained his diploma from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His diploma thesis dealing with anonymous communication systems was supervised by Prof. Aggelos Kiayias.
Currently, he is working on several aspects of computer science including cryptography, computational trust and network security. His research focuses on applying computational trust in the context of computer security and using Blockchain technology for securing trust management infrastructures. He has published several scientific papers in conferences such as the USENIX Security Symposium, IEEE TrustCom and ACM SAC.
