Manifesto:

The ICHSN 2005 is a special event following the High Speed Networks and Multimedia Communications (HSNMC 2004). ICHSN is technically co-sponsored by IEEE and IEE. ICHSN 2005 is organized by academic, research, and industrial societies and will be held in Montreal, Canada, in the week of August 14, 2005. Montreal is the most European city in North America, where more than 100 foreign languages are currently spoken, French and English being the two federal official languages.

ICHSN 2005 builds on the successful series of HSNMC started, under the name of International Conference on ATM (ICATM), in Colmar (1998), and subsequently held in Colmar (1999), Heidelberg (2000), Seoul (2001), Jeju (2002), Estoril (2003) and Toulouse (2204). While ICHSN conferences will focus on high speed networks frameworks, architectures, mechanisms and implementations, an extension on multimedia communications aspects will be hosted as a separate event [ICMCS], hold in conjunction, during the same period.
