Welcome to IPOM 2005, the 5th IEEE International Workshop on IP Operations & Management, to be held in Barcelona, Spain. IPOM is one of the five collocated events under the banner "First International Week on Management on Networks and Services", together with DSOM, MMNS, SSS, and AGNM.

Papers will be published by Springer-Verlag in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.

The main goal of IEEE IPOM 2005 is to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to address current and future issues that face operations and management of IP-oriented networks.

This workshop will include presentations based on original research in the area of Operations and Management of IP networks, spanning from current to future infrastructure. We are pleased to invite you to submit papers and panel proposals to the conference. The program of the workshop will include presentations of technical papers, and panels. In the Web pages of  IPOM you can find information for attendees and authors of papers, including links to sponsors and more about Barcelona.

This year IPOM will be held in conjunction with 16th IFIP/IEEE Distributed Systems Operations and Management (DSOM - Link: http://www.ibr.cs.tu-bs.de/users/schoenw/dsom2005/),  MMNS (8th International Conference on Management of Multimedia Networks and Services) and SSS (7th International Symposium on Self-Stabilizing Systems - Link: http://www.selfstabilization.org/sss2005/).
