What are the entry visa requirements?

IARIA Legal and Logistics Departments can issue, upon request, the entry visa letters for those registered to the conference.

Who requires a visa?

Visas are NOT required for passports of any of the following countries, regardless of purpose and/or length of stay in Spain:
- The European Union
- Iceland
- Norway
- Switzerland

If your intended stay in Spain will exceed 90 days, registration with the local police authorities is no longer required.

Passports of all these countries (including UK passports) are valid to visit or stay in SPAIN up to the last day of their validity.

Minors included in the parent’s passport must be accompanied by the parent.

The child’s right to travel on the passport will lapse depending on the age stipulated by the issuing country. Please see passport for details.

For visits not exceeding ninety days, visas are not required for:

Holders of valid passports issued by the following countries or dependencies: Andorra, Anguilla, Argentina, Australia, Bermuda, Brazil, British National Overseas, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong SAR, Israel, Japan, Korean Republic, Liechtenstein, Macao SAR, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, Montserrat, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, St. Helena, The Caiman Islands, The Falklands Islands, The Virgin Islands, Turks & Caicos Islands, Uruguay, USA, Vatican City, Venezuela

Money

The currency is the Euro. Most banks and bank machines accept most international credit cards.

Weather

The temperatures are pleasant averaging 17°C/63 F during the daytime to 6°C/43 F at night.

Electricity

Electricity supply is 220 volts throughout Spain with 2 pin wall sockets. For any European countries that utilise 240 volts e.g. UK and Ireland most electrical equipment will function adequately.
If you intend to use the UK electrical plugs then you will need an electricity plug adapter that will convert the standard 3 pin socket into a two pin socket. In the US where the electricity supply is 110 volts a transformer would be required to step down the voltage to 110 volts. Damage to the electrical appliance can occur if you attempt to use a 110 volt rated electrical appliance with a 220 volt supply.

Personal Identification

It is required by Spanish law that photographic identification be carried with you at all times. This may be a passport, driving license or national identity card. With a tightening of security in the city it is highly recommended that you carry round with you at least a photocopy of your passport should you be asked for this.

Telephone calls

To call Seville from a country outside Spain you need to dial
0034 for Spain and then 95 for the dialing code for landlines in Seville.

Internet and sessions

Free IEEE 802.11b wireless Internet access will be provided during all the conference in the conference area.
